Playing dress up...

This morning, my friend Hayley came over and we played dress up. I did her hair and makeup, and then we took pictures. It was a lot of fun. I hurried and edited some pictures so that I could post them and Hayley could see them, also because I'm in the middle of editing bridals, and need to get them done!! I think they turned out awesome, and who knew that putting tin foil on the wall could produce an awesome backdrop!!

Thailand: part IV...otherwise known as the post of Khmer Ruins...

This post consists of mostly pictures from some ancient Khmer ruins that I was able to visit while I was in Thailand. The first bunch is a place called Phanom Rung. It was such an awesome experience, and completely different from the ruins in Greece...There are a lot of pictures, so be warned...

On these stairs is where I was asked by a Thai lady to take her picture. She came up to me and pointed to her camera and said picture, and then pointed at her daughter. Naturally, I thought she wanted me to take a picture of her with her daughter. Nope, she wanted her picture with me...a white person. Awesome. So there is a random picture of me floating around Thailand somewhere in someone's vacation pictures...

The view from the top was so beautiful!

Ignore the unflattering picture of me...It was like noon, and we all know that noon light creates very unflattering shadows...

I loved all the cool carvings and stonework on these ruins. It reminded me of when I was younger and pretended to live in the Indian Jungle after watching the live action version of the Jungle Book. I wish I could find that on DVD.

The Thai people take really good care of their ruins...a lot more than the Greek's do! That's for sure...

Elephants!!! My favorite part of Thailand. Elephants everywhere!!

The Cardeiro Family!! Friends since 1995! And the best hosts ever!

Mem and I! She is really an awesome friend, even if she is the size of half of me...

These were some more ruins down the road. Not as spectacular, but still pretty cool...

I love the monks in their orange robes. It was cool to see them everywhere. I don't know why, but I just liked it a lot.

Noc and Mem, with Noc doing the traditional peace sign, hahahahaha

It was a really awesome day. I had so much fun, and we had some awesome food on the way home. We ate at this shack on the side of the road. Looked iffy, but was actually kind of amazing. I miss the food, I can't lie.

How does your garden grow...

So I planted a garden! I accomplished one of my goals. I don't have anywhere to actually plant anything, so I did a container garden. I hope it actually works. I went to D.I. and bought a bunch of old containers and pots. The tupperware containers, I had to punch holes in (for drainage). That was a lot of fun let me tell you. I planted 1 zucchini, 1 summer squash, 3 regular tomato plants, 1 yellow cherry tomato plant, 1 regular cherry tomato plant, spinach, Thai basil, chives, cilantro, and if I get buying more dirt and pots, some lettuce. But we'll see. I'm so busy, that I'm actually lucky to have planted the ones that I did! I also bought a little rose bush that was on sale for a few dollars. I think it's pretty, but we'll see if it survives lol. I planted a hanging bush too. I'm really excited to see how my plants do this summer!! I hope they do so well that I'm swimming in tomatoes, zucchini, squash, and herbs!!

Here are some pictures I took a few minutes ago...
