Paris: Day 13

So the pictures in this post aren't the best. Most of them are night pictures, but I think they are still fun. They aren't as good as they could be, but I didn't have a tripod...hence the blur...

Our hotel was in a really nice neighborhood. Ecole la Militaire? I think. It was nice. And we had a view of the Eiffel Tower from our hotel room!

Ooo la la! After we relaxed a little from our flight from Athens, and got something to eat, we walked over to the Eiffel Tower. Besides the 1 Euro guys, (African immigrants hawking Eiffel Tower key chains for 1 Euro), it was everything I thought it would be. I've been wanting to go to Paris my WHOLE life! Well, as long as I've known what Paris is. I don't know why. There are cooler places, I'm sure. Heck, I had just been in Greece which was amazing! But there was just something about Paris that lived up to everything I thought it would be. Sooo worth the wait...

We decided to take a night cruise on the Seine. It was a really nice way to spend the evening. We got to see all the bridges and monuments lit up for the night. It was perfect for us travel weary girls...

This is what happens when you take a self portrait with a DSLR. It's heavy, so I am basically trying my hardest to hold it up with one hand, as a result you can see up my nose. Plus, I forgot to take of my lens hood, that's what the big dark blot is...Oh, this is us on the boat...

This was the view waiting for the boat to leave...

This is as we pulled away...If you look closely, you can see the Eiffel tower sparkling...

My first Parisian bridge!!! I almost fell off the boat I was so excited...

I thought the water looked really cool in this photo...

Viva le France!!

This is my favorite bridge, the Pont Alexandre III. I love it so much.

Notre Dame! I stopped taking pictures after this because it was raining, and I was getting annoyed that everything was a blur. Oh well.

I LOVED PARIS. I think a little bit more than Greece. Next time, Versailles! Oh, and I have some bridals to post about too...Till next time, Au Revoir!

What I've been up to...

I've been sooo busy lately. I've been working a lot, and taking pictures a lot...It's been insane. Plus, I've been trying to fit in quality Oliver time...speaking of which, I need to take pictures of him...

So I took 19 month pictures of Stephanie, one of my very first clients. I'm so happy with these pictures. I think they are some of the best I've ever done. Though, I messed up on the white balance (photography lingo)...oh well. Here are some of my favorites...

I also took family pictures for Tracy and her family. I grew up with Tracy, and we were on the same Volleyball and Basketball teams in high school. I also knew her husband before she did! He was roommates with a friend of mine at BYU, and I hung out at their apartment a lot. She has such a cute little boy, named Caleb. She's expecting boy #2 and wanted to get pictures taken before she got too pregnant. I think she's a cute pregnant lady!

Thank goodness for the lady with a pug dog! Caleb thought it was awesome. I'm glad we got some shots with him laughing. He was pretty grumpy, unless he was able to run around!

See! Grumpy!!

Such a cute family! And it was awesome to see Tracy and Jake again! Time flies, man!

Denver...

So on Sunday, Angela and I decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Denver. She wanted to check out a radiology school, and neither of us had to work for a few days. Crazy, yes. Fun, definitely. We stopped by in Glenwood Springs first. I mean really, why wouldn't you? It's beautiful, and it's where Doc Holliday is buried...supposedly...

Driving to Denver...snow, snow, snow. It was kind of freezing...

I kind of have a love affair with big fluffy clouds...

Snow! So, you are going to laugh, but I like this picture mostly because my arm looks skinny in it. What!?

Tunnel! I love all the mountains you get to drive through on I-70...

I think this is a place called Silverplume? Who knows, all the towns have silver in the name. It was pretty, though.

Angela has had a rough few years, she's kind of over it. So she decided she wanted a F You World! Picture. I have made it PG-13 for the viewers...

This was after the picture...

I forgot to take a picture of the Denver skyline, we were right there in downtown. It was pretty cool, but I kept putting it off, and then we were running late and it didn't happen. Oh well. On the way out of Denver we stopped at Buffalo Bill's gravesite. Pretty cool! And kitchy...

Hahahahahahaha!!!!

It was in a really pretty spot, with great views! Then we went to Aspen, it was out of the way, but we were feeling crazy...

This is me playing with my shutter speed trying to catch the droplets in this fountain. I think I succeeded! Yay!

This is where they are holding the Annual Food and Wine Classic. If you watch Top Chef, you know what I'm talking about...

What? I liked the colors, lol.

Aspen is kind of snobby, but it was still cute...

It was fun to take pictures here...I had a professor once who smoked cigars...she was a woman. Awesome. No this was not at BYU...

I really liked the stickers on this gas meter thing. I liked the picture of the whole thing, but some dude's head is in it. Lame.

This was a cool statue by the parking garage...I really liked it...Well, that was it! Fast and furious, but fun...
